Meal Drive
January 20, 2025

From January 1 to January 20, 2025, the HV MLK members collect donated "meal ingredients" at the following locations:

Mattie's Market @ 965 E. Summit St., Milford
Colasanti's Market @ 468 S. Milford Rd., Highland
River's Edge Brewing @ 125 S. Main St., Milford
*Suzanne Haskew Art Center (SHAC) @ 125 S. Main St., Milford
Earth N Soul @ 1427 S. Milford, Highland
 
The HV MLK Day Committee and Community Sharing volunteers encourage area residents to contribute to this year’s meal drive based on a recipe called “Southwest Chicken Soup” which requires only four non-perishable ingredients. 
All Huron Valley Schools staff members are encouraged to participate and  promote donations among students.  Volunteers transport the donated items to The SHAC for Monday evening’s Soup Meal Assembly event.
 
The HV MLK Day Committee makes good on the National Holiday’s promise to:
“make it a DAY ON, not a day off.”
