Join our annual celebrations that provide opportunities to serve communities in the Huron Valley School District and the Metro Detroit area.
The MLK Day Committee is excited to announce its theme for 2024, "Justice For All," drawing inspiration from the timeless ideal of equality and fairness advocated by the renowned civil rights leader Martin Luther King Jr.
The phrase itself stems from the Pledge of Allegiance, symbolizing the fundamental principle of inclusivity and equal treatment for every individual, regardless of race, gender, or socioeconomic background.
To the MLK Day Committee, "Justice For All" signifies not only the eradication of systemic discrimination and prejudice but also the establishment of an equitable society where every person has access to basic human rights, equal opportunities, and a voice that is heard and valued.
It represents a collective commitment to championing the rights and well-being of all members of our diverse and vibrant community, fostering a culture of empathy, respect, and mutual understanding.
