MLK Day Celebrations

​Celebrate the life and legacy of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. 


Join our annual celebrations that provide opportunities to serve communities in and around Milford, Michigan.

At Huron Valley MLK (HVMLK) we’re raising funds and promoting initiatives to serve the people who need them most. We believe in taking action with urgency in order to raise public awareness about some of the most pressing issues facing today’s society. Please join us by supporting our efforts to make a measurable difference in the lives of others.

Our Committee*

Plans the annual March on Main Street.

Works with local businesses to broadcast MLK Day events.

Encourages community members & students to participate in an art/writing/multimedia contest.

Organizes a celebration, post-march, where the community can gather to break bread together and honor contest submissions and winners.

Hosts a "meal drive" and assembly, and prepares bags for delivery to the local food pantry.
