A Distinct Identity
Join our team! The Huron Valley MLK Day Committee is looking for new members to help us fulfill our mission of hosting a series of events open to everyone in the Huron Valley Community and the Metro Detroit Area. These events provide opportunities for coming together to celebrate the teachings and life of Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. in a continuing effort to realize his dream as ours.
Our Committee is composed of Huron Valley community members of all ages, occupations and backgrounds who volunteer their time and talents to reach our mission.
General Meetings are facilitated by Committee Chair, Isaac Perry, but all foundational decisions are determined by group consensus.
Operating Principles - How do we reach our mission? We ask and answer the following questions:
